Marking presence at MIPIM 2025

MIPIM - The Global Urban Festival

Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France

MIPIM – The Global Urban Festival in Cannes is the world’s premier real estate event, bringing together industry leaders, investors, and innovators to shape the future of urban development. Held annually in Cannes, it serves as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and the showcasing of groundbreaking projects.

A key feature of MIPIM is its thematic pavilions, which highlight emerging trends, innovative solutions, and investment opportunities. These dedicated spaces focus on areas such as sustainability, proptech, infrastructure, and regional developments, offering attendees an immersive experience into the latest advancements shaping the cities of tomorrow.

The Tafla mirror is a testament to FiDU technology, showcasing its unlimited structural and architectural potential. By stabilizing metal membranes with internal pressure, this innovative process enables the creation of tailor-made, ultra-light, and sustainable steel structures. FiDU’s "air sculpture" technology represents a forward-thinking and responsible approach to urban space design—an idea Oskar Zięta emphasizes through his public sculptures, such as Nawa and Hempel.
In 2025, we had the pleasure of being a highlight of the Warsaw Pavilion, where Tafla O4 was exhibited as a striking example of Oskar Zięta’s pioneering FiDU technology. This ultralight, inflated steel mirror embodies the fusion of design, craftsmanship, and advanced engineering. The Tafla series showcases how raw steel is transformed into organic, fluid forms, reflecting both the surrounding space and the viewer. As part of Warsaw’s presentation, this piece symbolized the city's commitment to integrating cutting-edge design with sustainable urban development.

These two Zieta presentations at MIPIM 2025 offered a glimpse into a wider programme of activities in the Fleet Street Quarter, celebrating the immense talent and creativity of Polish artists as part of the UK / Poland Season 2025.
Consequently, Oskar Zięta also made his mark at the London Pavilion, where his vision extended beyond individual objects to large-scale urban installations. MIPIM became the stage for presenting his upcoming project, "Whispers", set to be installed at Ludgate Hill for the London Festival of Architecture 2025. This ambitious project is led by the Fleet Street Quarter Business Improvement District (FSQ) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Cultural Institute in London, the City of Warsaw, Let’s Art Foundation, and On & On Designs, with support from the British Council.
