Sustainable metal composition

We are thrilled to rejoin the New York design scene with the 35th edition of ICFF, North America’s leading interior design trade show. This year we’re exploring the fusion of polished stainless steel with golden accents, embracing the “less is less” concept, and underscoring environmental responsibility.

Reflected in metal

Zieta Studio’s mirrors tell large-scale stories. Our collaboration with architects and interior designers best illustrates their potential. The Tafla steel mirror constellations are unique adornments for grand walls, whether in private residences, public lobbies, or expansive foyers. Each arrangement is bespoke, with no two constellations alike, and each mirror has a distinctive shape. At ICFF our displays will feature Tafla mirrors in a unique constellation with golden finishes from the Aurum collection. Complementing this will be the Rondo 120, introducing a touch of color from our Gradient collection - a brand new jade green finish.

Seats of the future

At Zieta Studio, we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of metal forming, exploring the intricacies of steel stabilization. We’ve achieved the seemingly impossible, and we’re bringing three iconic seats to New York. Leading the way is the PLOPP stool, a design sensation since its debut at the Salone.Satellite in Milan in 2007. PLOPP is a manifesto of FiDU technology, which has earned accolades at this year’s Europe by Design TV series, the broadcast of which  will continue throughout the year on 22 CBS-owned local TV stations across America. The Episode 2 featuring Zieta Studio is also available online at Europe by Design | Innovations.

Ultralight narratives

The ultralight narrative will be led by the Red Dot and Metallica Award-winning Ultraleggera. This aluminum chair epitomizes Zieta Studio’s commitment to ecology and sustainability. We would call it a circular chair today, made from recycled aluminum, the sole material needed for its production. Ultraleggera is a monomaterial object, remarkably durable and ultralight, weighing only 1,660 grams (3 lb 10.55 oz) in its raw form. It continues the legacy of the challenge posed by Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti, who introduced his Superleggera chair in 1957.

Contrasting dialogues

The J-Chair elegantly weaves art and architecture together. It is inspired by the Jerke Museum in Germany and a 1932 painting by the renowned Polish artist Władysław Strzemiński, Flat Construction (Breakage of a Black Rectangle). This chair also creates a dialogue between materials, marrying deformed metal with the excellence of craftsmanship in hand-finished leather.

In our work at Zieta Studio, we often look to nature for inspiration. Bionics is our guidebook. The steel deformation process mimics the pumping mechanism of dragonfly wings. Our objects are hollow yet stable, inspired by the pneumatic bones of bird wings. We also draw direct inspiration from nature: the bionic legs of the Morph table twist like tree branches beneath a solid oak top. The strength of rock and earth is embodied in the Parova Console, whose sturdy cylindrical base supports a granite top.

New York with Zieta Studio

Completing our presence in New York this year is the Zieta pop-up store, in collaboration with the Bureau of Merchants, joins the iconic luxury Bergdorf Goodman Men’s Store, the luxury department store based on the famous Fifth Avenue. This is our second collaboration with BG and Bureau of Merchants - last year Zieta objects were showcased in its Men’s Store window display, and this time we invite you inside the department store (3rd floor), where we continue to tell the narrative of our fascination with metal and luxurious design throughout the entire month of May.

See you in New York this spring!
