Transformation. Deformation. Process

An exceptional meeting with Oskar Zięta’s interdisciplinary, sculptural metal creations, transformations, and reflections. The exhibition at Haus Schlesien is a unique journey through the passion for the material — exploration, study, and emotional bond. The Polish-based artist’s recognized FiDU technology unravels the endless potential of metal deformation and stabilization. The showcase blends technological plots with sensual experiences and poetic narratives of polished steel.

This summer, at the culture and history center Haus Schlesien, we will witness the sum of Zięta's air-sculpted stories. The objects will appear in the interior and exterior space of the Haus Schlesien, presenting small and large forms of manifestos of huge studies. The works will guide guests through the process of searching for stabilization, axiality, beauty, and functionality hidden in cold steel. Experiments with its coloring will add a sensual twist to the whole experience.

Visitors will have a unique opportunity to see prototypes of large-scale sculptures, such as the NAWA pavilion, WIR, or GENERATIONS, in one place. Threads of reflections will penetrate mirror-sculptures and their constellations, with the main objects TAFLA and RONDO. An important thread of metal narratives will be the chapter on responsible art, in which the artist maximizes the use of material and exposes the "ugly side" - emphasizing the importance of wanting and using less.

Oskar Zięta believes that materials have their own inner energy and that as a creator he ought to give them freedom so they can act in their own manner. Thus in his artistic work he endlessly seeks to transform metal in a way that maintains its natural beauty. Zięta’s sculptural work is like an endless metamorphosis. In their artistic forms, his monomaterial and remarkably lightweight artifacts manifest a profound fascination with the process of constant exploration, technology, and bionics, and above all, the material.󠀠
